A. A. Milne, one of Britain’s most successful writers, enjoyed a long career as a poet, playwright, essayist and novelist. But, it was for two children’s books, Winnie-the-Pooh and The House at Pooh Corner - short story collections chronicling the adventures of Christopher Robin and his toy bear - for which he is famous.
