Welcome to Beyond Bloomsbury - an ongoing collection of historical artist and writer biographies. Thank you for being here!
I’m Victoria, a historian, writer, and PhD researcher of early twentieth-century artists and writers, with a particular interest in the Bloomsbury Group, a circle of friends whose work profoundly impacted twentieth-century culture.
Before the interdisciplinary PhD in Art, Literature, and History, I achieved a first degree in Art History and two post-graduate degrees - one in Film History and the other in Journalism - with awards from the National Council for the Training of Journalists.
I began Beyond Bloomsbury to celebrate these Bloomsbury creatives, their friends and contemporaries, and this important period in art and literary history. Occasionally, I will also examine artists and writers who lived and worked before the twentieth century. You can view the collection so far in the archive.
