I'm a dog man myself, but not so much that I can't admire some of these. Particularly the Charles Spencelayh. And I am reminded that his most famous "cat" painting doesn't have a cat anywhere in it....called That Damned Cat, it's the aftermath of a cat's attack on a pet canary!
Yes, I went for the more cat-friendly of Spencelayh’s feline paintings. I love both cats and dogs, but have never had a dog companion. I loved putting this collection together.
So, timely, Victoria--and you may not know this in Britain, but Kamala Harris is being attacked as a cat lady because she's not given birth to a child. She would be the 47th president who has not birthed a child if she wins. Did you know that when you posted this marvelous, as always, essay with gorgeous paintings? Clearly, I favor her -- and YOU!
