Thanks Victoria for sharing these. Evelyn Dunbar was my great-aunt (indeed, her portrait entitled 'The Cerebrant' is of her husband, my great-uncle Roger Folley). There is biographical information about most if not all of these paintings on my dad's blog https://evelyn-dunbar.blogspot.com/, as well as in his biography of Evelyn: Evelyn Dunbar: A Life in Painting. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Evelyn-Dunbar-Painting-Christopher-Campbell-Howes/dp/152620584X

Thank you for introducing me to this wonderful artist. My mother was in the Land Army, and these paintings give me a glimpse into the times she lived through (she died when I was young, so no chance to ask her about her experiences).

Victoria, what a joy it is to spend a part of my day appreciating this art. I spend so much time with words that it is good for my eyes and my soul to spend some time with art like this. I appreciate you curating it for us.

Thank you for this collection, Victoria. I think they're all new to me though I was introduced to Evelyn Dunbar's paintings by an exhibition at Pallant House in Chichester a few years ago. What I particularly enjoyed in the Pallant show was the depiction of movement, and I see that again here. Even the seated motionless mother is in a rocking chair :-)

Such a joy to see these wonderful paintings once more. Evelyn Dunbar was a close friend of my parents and an important person in my childhood. She died far too young.
