I’m afraid not, Marian. Though there are probably a few I could pick out as favourites… that list could probably run to about 14 or more of them 😀

I especially loved the Paul Nash painting.

Also, the final painting of Medical Students huddled in bed. Thanks.

Wonderful collection! I loved seeing the portrait of Tirzah Garwood, I have only just heard about this interesting and talented artist! There are others in your collection I will be following up on. Always wonderful to see a work by Vanessa Bell. Thank you.

Thank you, Franca. Tirzah was married to Eric Ravilious but also a wonderfully talented artist in her own right. Enjoy your research 🧡

I always enjoy trying to find my favourite in your paintings posts, Victoria. Always hard to decide, but the Vanessa Bell painting reminded me of a visit to Monk’s House with dear friends a year or two ago on a visit to Sussex. We looked over towards the South Downs on a clear autumn day and friendship felt rich and dear.

Thank you for this beautiful selection. I do love the works of Bell, Carrington, Grant and Lowry from that period. And I see the Irish artist Gerard Dillon is included. He developed into a great artist I think.

Thank you for sharing these images, Victoria!

One of my lectures was about Laura Knight and everyone was fascinated, if not always by her art, by her colourful life.

This brought her back to mind. Thank you!
