Some truly gorgeous pictures. Although, do you know, after looking through them all now - and despite my own selection - I think I would love most to sit in the chair looking out at Vanessa Bell's garden.
I think The House at Rueil, Édouard Manet during the day, and in the evening an opulent party like The End of Dinner, Jules-Alexandre Grün. I would look wonderful and be terribly amused by the great and the good who would be utterly charmed by me. Every night.
This collection is so in my heart, especially Matisse's The Pianist and Checker Players" that plays a central role in my novel Who by Fire that is now fully up here, Victoria. You ate a treasure.

You’re not alone there… :) Thank you for your contribution to the discussion ✨
I'll take tea with the Burleigh family as my painting home.
It would be one of my favourites… ✨
Luncheon of the Boating Party would be my pick. Looks like the most fun. Thank you for posting this lovely selection
You’re very welcome! And thank you Tricia 🩵
Thanks very much for this - lovely to see my pick, though I think I am with G.J.R. On Vanessa Bell’s comfy seat facing the garden.
The Vanessa Bell is very inviting. And what lies beyond the door..? 🌼

I love that, June. And you would be magnificent 🥂
Ha! I can dream…
Wow, there is such a wide range in here. This is such an excellent curation, Victoria.
Thanks Jon. All reader choices. I loved seeing their answers :)
Being a Kilkenny woman I would live in Bridget Flinn's painting and take a holiday in Laura Knight's painting 😆
Lovely choices. Laura Knight’s Sennen Cove is one of my favourites as well 💚

Thank you for contributing to the collection, Mary. It was great to see everybody’s responses 💛
Thank you Victoria fabulous choices, I could happily live in each one for a day!
It was so interesting to see the different choices. Thank you for contributing Sandra 💛
What a wonderful way to start my morning! I could linger in many of these paintings.
Thank you for commenting, Barbara. Yes, it’s such an interesting reader selection 🧡
Oh fabulous. Just fabulous. Thank you
You’re very welcome, Claire 🌸
I'd be quite happy in the Canal reflection or the Snowy Paris scene
Me too :) Thanks for commenting ✨
The Matisse painting would be my choice. (But I wouldn't mind any painting by a Scottish Colourist or William Mactaggart the younger.)
Thank you for commenting :) There will be a similar discussion/collection soon 💚
An interesting selection on which to feast the eyes. I love the Picasso quote. It, too, merits framing. Thanks Victoria 🥰
You’re very welcome. Thank you, Paula 💛
